Pseudolaguvia are small Erethistids that inhabit hill streams from India to Myanmar, and contains nine species: - P ribeiroi, P shawi, P tuberculata, P kapuri, P tenebricosa, P faveolata, P inornata, P muricaya and P ferula.

Pseudolaguvia
can be distinguished from all other Erethistids by having a thoracic adhesive apparatus, which has a central depression to it, and except for Caelatoglanis has wide gill openings.
